Look back to the earliest Adam and Eve who disobeyed God’s word to eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, then there came sin within man. Sin doesn’t refer to a specific deed of sin but a state in man’s disposition that keeps opposing G-d. For instances, Adam and Eve ate the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, Cain killed his old brother Abel due to his envy. All this proves that if there is sin within man, then his deeds will be filled with evil. Due to the existence of sin, the original good relationship between mankind and G-d breaks up, and thus humanity becomes the enemy of G-d. Then how can we escape the bondage of sin?
Most people think that the Lord has redeemed this humanity with His blood, so, those who believe in Him are no longer of sin. Does this view accord with G-d’s will? Because of the existence of sinful nature, man still constantly commit sins and become more and more degenerate, can such a kind of person enter G-d’s kingdom? I remember the Bible records, “… you shall therefore be holy, for I am holy”(Leviticus 11:45), “… and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord”(Hebrew 12:14). We can see that to obtain G-d’s salvation and enter the kingdom of heaven, we need G-d to do further work of saving man. The work the Lord did in the Age of Grace is redemption work, that only means we are no longer condemned by the law. If you want to learn more about G-d’s work of eradicating sin. Please stay tuned!
