How will the Lord carry out judgment upon His return in the last days?
In the Bible, the return of Christ to carry out judgment, which has been mentioned at least 200 times. For instance, “For it is time for judgment to begin with God’s household; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God?” (1 Peter 4:17); “Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son,” (John 5:22); “There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; the very words I have spoken will condemn them at the last day.” (John 12:48). Now, these prophecies have been fulfilled, so the Lord has already returned and has carried out the work of judgment beginning with the house of God. The Lord Jesus said, “I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth” (John 16:12–13). And in 1 Peter 4:17 it is written: “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God.” These scriptures all prophesy that in the last days the Lord will come to express the truth and perform the work of judgment among those who believe in Him. However, many of our brothers and sisters in faith believe that because they believe in the Lord, their sins are forgiven, that they don’t need to accept God’s judgment, and that when the Lord comes they will be directly brought into the kingdom of heaven.
